It is a matter of great privilege and honour for me to get this opportunity to serve the nation and the people of the State and to serve the great organization “Assam Police.” During the past few decades, we have effectively responded to various challenges including militancy. While we have travelled a long way, we still have some distance to cover. We have to keep working hard to meet the expectations of the citizens from the Police. We must keep improving continuously to be able to respond to the new and emerging challenges, relating to militancy, crime control and to continuously improve the quality and promptness of our service delivery. Building the required synergy with all stake holders, particularly the citizens, is a sine-qua-non for achieving our objectives. Upgrading capacity and infusing technology on a continuous basis is the need of the hour. We have to work together as a team, in close co-operation and co-ordination with the people for achieving our goals and have to come up to the expectation of one and all. Let us rededicate ourselves to this mission.

Director General of Police, Assam
